Tyson J. Askew is an educator, mentor, and advocate teacher student relationships. His passion for teaching and education has taken him from being a statistical failure, not completing his high school diploma, to becoming a Ph.D. candidate. Learning from his years of personal experiences in the classroom he has formed a system and theory that promotes student motivation and efficient learning no matter what subject is presented. Tyson continues to teach and mentor youth and young adults who are searching for their path in education. While obtaining his masters and Ph.D. he has exclusively concentrated his research on the vital importance of effective teacher student relationships. As an advocate for teacher student relationships, Tyson has helped educators to gain a greater sense of self-efficacy and a renewed passion for education. In his career, Tyson has been privileged to teach all grade levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade and has been the recipient of many acknowledgments, certifications, and awards in education; but his most favorable honor of all is the look of “I got it” from his students!
